Pad Window
The Pad
window can be used to quickly write and save any information of any kind before
deciding in which collection and category to put it. The advantage of the Pad
with respected to other tools such as the Microsoft Notepad, is that the
information written in the Pad will be saved in a special section of the current
APO database and not in a file, as it would be done with the Notepad.
The
Notepad is not meant for storing any information permanently, and data in the
Pad are ignored by the global search function. Therefore, you should move your
data as soon as possible from the Pad to the appropriate collection and
category, using a tag map or table. To this end, you can use the copy and paste
commands available in the text boxes of all windows.
